Transformation Wk9

This Sunday we were a few pair of hands short and Picasso had to coordinate colour remotely.
Saturday we spent all day Postering. What's postering? Well it's how the Bondi Centre has got most of it's course attendees in the past. Postering (legal) has been a great way to get the news out to Sydney locals who may be looking for inner change, spiritual transformation and or Astral Travelling. There's a link at the bottom of the blog to download a short video of our postering posse.

A picture is worth a thousand words so I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Facade from end of last week after painting most of the upper building.

Rich finding the best position for the ladder.

Colm starting the deep indian red.

Pati on the door.

Right hand side complete. Already the collumn is more prominent. It's looking good.

Rich psyching himself for left handed craftsmanship.

Sue joining Pati on the front door.

Looks very nice :-)

Dave sweeping then vacuuming the garage ready for more sealant.

Priscilla starts the dark green on the window collumns.

Rich starts the other collumn braving the electric cables, seems nonchalant (like most sparkys!)

Concentration required here, left side of pillar done.

Completed left pillar - looks a lot better.

Tony sanding down the top doors ready for deep indian red.

busy, busy, busy ...

Priscilla starting the dark green on the window collumns. Nice combo.

Rich was the only one who could do this. He was crook for a few days before this, so we were lucky he made it.

Focus power.

Rich stretching to do the most difficult bits around the electric cabling.

Daya, just done a coat of walnut stain on two table tops.

Dave decides the vacuum cleaner is needed to get to some of the dusty bamboo.

Rich starts the red across the top beam.

Pati enjoying playing with the paint.

Front window finished.

Door nearly done.

Rich (speedy gonzalez) starts the top railing. Dave taken over the sanding from Tony giving his arm a rest?

Tony testing some sandstone stain in the sealant - it's not looking good! Too thick? Most of it has been wiped away in this photo.

Pati stops doodling and starts painting the top doors red.

Tony trying a different ratio of mix. Still doesn't look like it's going to work.

The top cornicing is tested for colour balance and gets the go ahead. Dark green around the leafs.

Dave painting the upstairs doors red.

In Australia there are dogs known as blue healers and red healers, they don't drive trucks though?

Lunch time.... Larraine's lasagne... very nice :-)

Back to work - that was quick! The girls are excited and just start splattering it on, drips go everywhere but it's fun.

Daya enjoying the freedom of expression with slapping it on. This colour scheme was her idea and she is on a mission..

Nice contrast of finished colours.

This photo was taken in the astral whilst dreaming, so it is real ... I think?

Pati and Dave focussed on the practice room balcony doors (trying not to doodle or daydream).

Almost finished downstairs for the day.

Looks fantastic from a distance! :-)

Tony doing the feet of the window sill - nice touch.

Daya enjoying the final moments of painting by numbers. This piece is from below the window sill and fallen off so will need to be cemented/plastered back on later.

That's it for this week folks...

If you'd like to see the Postering Posse from Saturday you can watch it streamed (small pic) or download the full file here:

The large pic file is about 18MB, but you get a decent size pic with good shots.

Hi Shane, the blog really captured the moments!

Just a small correction, the colour scheme was not my idea, but thanks to the pictures you were sending John, he was able to pass on the instructions by phone to me.

But we can't relax for too long as John's informed me of some additions to the colour scheme on the front facade. Also, after seeing the kitchen shots, he's decided it's the next target on the list.

Hi Shane and all : - ) I am

One thing you don't see in

DavidP's picture

One thing you don't see in the postering video is when Shane was in the British sweets shop on Glebe Point Road. He was like "Billy the Kid" in a lolly shop!

The Centre is looking great

Bill T's picture

The Centre is looking great guys, congrats. Just looking at all of your efforts each week generates enthusiasm and interest, I’m really pumped! Even all the way over here in Melbourne, the energy there must be Fantastic.  I especially love seeing so many different happy faces practicing concentration on the painting.

Great video Shane can I request a cameo appearance from you in next weeks update….

Smile…

Hey Shane,

Thanks for your weekly posts, you guys are doing an amazing job!

I especially like the green and cream over the window arches.

Hope all is well up there!

David

Hi Bill, It's hard being

Shane's picture

Hi Bill,

It's hard being such a well known director and playing a cameo role almost undetected ;-)

When my wife watched it, she said a number of times 'who's that'? I thought it was obvious because I knew who it was.

Maybe you need to search a bit harder for the cameo role/s :-)

All the best with your practices and postering.

Hi Shane Now we now WHY you
