What do people think of this video? It seems to be encouraging a determination and a fearlessness that is needed for spiritual triumph:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp1gtNXtqh8 |

The truth is that we as we are very asleep do not see the way the masters work. They are bound to do things that for us personally are not good, but that are only for the common good. To save the most people possible. The calculations to do this are done by the being. The boddissatva then just has to follow the will of the being. This is only possible after reaching the 5th initiation of fire when one becomes an initiate.
We as students face the almost unsurmountable task to see what is truly good for us personally and what is good only for the others. In here lies the importance of self-discovery and self-observation.
I think this is what Rabolu meant. Because he also was a big promoter of obedience (first to the external master, and when you are that far, to the inner master).
Kind regards,
Olivier.

I am sure that you said so(the first line) in a loving way, still you may want to be a little careful. People who sacrificed to provide work to us in the present form deserve our gratitude and respect. Maybe when you encounter the master in astral/dream you can be informal in the way you like(and learn from the experience!)
take care,

That's what it sounds like to me. However, it's such a short clip and we don't know what he was talking about beforehand, so it's hard to say for sure.
He could have been talking about mental conformity, as well. It is so easy to just accept the thoughts and feelings that we have (conforming) without questioning them.
Thanks for sharing this!

I'm not entirely sure what he is talking about, non conformity as seen by the world in general or internal non conformity, but that is the beauty of gnosis, seeing things at many levels depending on where you stand.
Obedience is important in gnosis yes, but not blind obedience, we want to learn to be free, to be us and to exercise judgement and follow divine will, not to be a poodle.
Like Olivier, I too think Rabolu is very cheeky sometimes in a fabulous way. The work isn't all seriousness and gravity.

It seems that he is talking about the spiritual work and what is required of us in terms of working on ourselves, within ourselves. But also, the quote at the beginning probably refers to actually working on ourselves and changing within, rather than simply adopting rituals and behaviours that we think are 'spiritual'.
Too bad a soundtrack has been added though. Kind of imposes a feeling on the whole thing that might not've otherwise been there.
Thanks again,
Jordan

Perhaps the message is about non-conformity to egos.
It is very inspiring. That's the spirit, I guess, take a work with determination and courage, like your life depends on it. Is it not?
Work on ourselves against all blind conformity.
I liked soundtrack by the way.
