Magic is essentially casting spells for different purposes whether for good or for evil. Spells from black magic, could have negative consequences while spells from white magic, such as conjurations (taught on the astral course) are used to keep away negative entities. There's more in-depth information on the different types of magic that is more so on given on the Gnostic Wisdom course offered here (Courses tab above).

Hi,

I never really tried it, but my theoretical understanding is that magic is the manipulation of certain energies in the universe in order to become a desired result.
We can do this on our own accord (selfish reasons) and this is (in the framework of gnosis) considered black magick. We can also ask our divine father or inner God(the true magician) to perform the action for us. In this way, we know that magick will be performed in accordance with cosmic laws and that we will not experience the backlash.

But again, the basis is a re-routing of energy.

Kind regards,

Olivier.

Hi Bhirava,

An important difference between black and white magic is that white magic is carried out within the divine laws, this is opposed to black magic which will go against them. You can find more out about these laws by enrolling on the course.

If we were to cast a spell for selfish ends e.g. gain wealth or make someone fall in love with us this would be black magic.

All the best,

Marc

Hello Bhirava,
Any magic is something to avoid, like Oliver said,
it should be used in the circumstances that are
most appropriated for it to use, only when our superior part of the being is willing to guide us.
Doing so we will be doing the will of our Father
(Male divine part of our selves), And not our own egoistic will. This is why Jesus said that we should
avoid all sorts of magicians and those who promise an easy way to gain supernatural power.

If an animal ( a state of being from which we, the human beings are not far ) is sudenly
becoming able to manipulate the forces of nature, he will bring desasterous consequences to his environment, easily achieving lustfull, vangefull, and self-concentrated desires.

With a greater powers comes a greater responsibility, and it is not only the best, but is important to use magic only in accordance with Divine Will like it was said.

Then it is not only powerful but brings a truly good results!

hi gyorgi,

I did not say that is is something to avoid. I use it every day to clear the house from negative entities and cast a circle of protection.
The only thing I pointed out is that it is not I performing the magic (which would be black) but my being (which is white).

By the way, the master said that we could ask our divine parents for powers (like astral travel). They will give them when we are ready for it. Ask and it shall be given.

Kind regards,

Olivier

Hi Oliver,
I did not say in my post that it was you who said that magic should be avoided. I said it on my behalf because personaly I think it could lead to a strong ego. To perform any magic from my being I have to incarnate my being, otherwise it is all from the I.

Thank you for sharing about what the Master have said.

Generally people who do can gain bad karma (consequences for negative actions) since they could be breaking spiritual laws. So for that reason it's something to avoid doing altogether.

Hey Bhirava,

I think it depends on the extent to which you try and use black magic, and how stable you are internally. I dabbled a bit in it before I did the courses here (which helped me realise it wasn't a good thing to be doing) and nothing happened except maybe that I developed my pride because I thought I was better than other people / had control over them, and doing things others didn't know about.

I've heard of some bad things coming of practicing it though, someone I know works in a mental institution, and he was telling me about a patient who was dabbling in black magic and it caused her to go insane!
