I find it hard to really know who to pray too when praying lately. I have been doing alot of reading on gnostic teachings and I am not sure how to pray or who to pray to on certain things because the teachings mention several different Gods. Can anyone help me determine who to pray to and should i pray to certain gods for certain things and help? Thank You for any assistance I can get on this subject.

Hello William,

I am not sure with regards to different gods, but noramlly you would pray to your divine parents. They are basically the ones who watch over you and help you with spiritual work. They are like your mother and father in your physical life. Your mother is resposible for guiding you along the psiritual path and your divine father is meant to give you strength. I normally pray to both wihtout confusing myself who to adress a prayer to.

The only thing that you got to do is learn how to pray sincerelly and from the bottom of your heart. I found that that is the most important thing. I don't think that there are also any particular words that you should use while praying, just do it like you are really talking someone and asking for something. Do it sincerely and with good intentions and your prayers will be answered. It is also important to put forth efforts, so if you ask for help with situaion you should try to correct the situation yourself, you can't expect things to happen on their own.

All the strength.

Yes, it best to pray to your divine parents who are perfect and know what is the best for you.

Praying to the gods is something I do not do, I would rather try to go to the astral plane and meet them in person and then ask whatever you want.

regards,

O.

Divine parents thats great thank you. I am an avid prayer but I was always praying to a male singular entity which your taught to do in the Christian faith. I would pray to Jehovah or as the Hebrew say YHWH OR yahweh. But through gnostic teachings I have learned that he have had a different role in things then I may have thought. I am still searching and trying to deepen my spirituality. I am looking forward to the oct 9th classes. I have the astral book by beez. and I have read 2 books by samuel. I also just recieved the gnostic Bible this week from Amazon. Thanks for any help given

Look at prayer as more of a meditation. Lots of people who pray just simply pray but however there is much more to it than that. The best way is by deep meditation with your spirit guides and higher self or what some people call god and dont forger the well being of your body. To mediate you have to have a peaceful setting and be fully relaxed. You also have to reach a certain state of mind in order to reach your goals.

Hi William,

We can pray at any time of the day in any circumstances, but as Roos touched on, it's important that we don't pray just to pray (i.e. with the purpose of our prayer being to do another 'chore' instead of asking for help/guidance that we truly need).

It's often not possible to find a nice quiet atmosphere and deeply relax. I've found that as long as the prayer is sincere, no matter what I'm going through, my prayers are answered. For example, if I'm feeling extremely fatigued and have caught myself identifying a lot with my egos then I pray to my Divine Parents to give me strength to fight against the egos wherever I may be (on the bus, at work, etc.)

In regards to praying to the Gods, I guess it depends on the circumstances. If we are physically ill, we could address a prayer to one of the Masters of Medicine as we go to bed, or if we need help with more spiritual matters we could pray to a Master that inspires us. I personally have found that such prayers, as with the other prayers to my Divine Parents, are often answered, provided I ask with sincerity.

In regards to the issue on praying, I think Stas' second paragraph sums up prayer:

"The only thing that you got to do is learn how to pray sincerelly and from the bottom of your heart. I found that that is the most important thing. I don't think that there are also any particular words that you should use while praying, just do it like you are really talking someone and asking for something. Do it sincerely and with good intentions and your prayers will be answered. It is also important to put forth efortts, so if you ask for help with situaion you should try to corect the situation yourself, yo can't expect things to happen on their own."

It's nice to hear you got the astral book, and have been reading some of Master Samael's books. The books have a lot of practical information in them.

All the best in the courses!
