How far shall I go to Not eat pigs.My concern is that I live in a house with 3 roomamtes. I don't have my own dishes, so I use thiers, and I know that they eat pork sometimes. Should I not not use the knives and get my own?

Hi Silvia,

Washing the dishes, utensils, and frying pans, etc..., particularly in a dish washer, should remove the pork residue.

Hi Silvia,

It?s certainly very important to avoid consuming anything that contains pork. So in regards to food alone, we need to avoid foods that contain pork products (checking the ingredients is important and buying Halal or Kosher foods makes things easier).

The cutlery is an interesting issue. I spend the summers with my parents and they eat ham other pork-related foods quite a bit. So a while back I asked a teacher about dishes that may have had pork on them before being washed. I was told that the effects would be minimal and might not even be noticeable unless I were practicing Alchemy. Hence, overall I?d conclude that as long as the dishes are washed well (in hot, soapy water) then the pork wouldn?t pose a problem ? I?m not making a guarantee, but from my experience I think I?ve generally been okay. I also don't practice Alchemy.

When with my parents, I have my own frying pan, because the other ones are actually stained a brownish colour due to frying so much bacon in the past. I?m not sure if the stain actually means pork residue, but it?s not too hard to have an extra frying pan and it?s better safe than sorry.

Just a last note about the pork is that we should be cautious of how food is prepared. As an example, having our food in the oven next to a pepperoni pizza can mean some grease from the pizza landing on our food.

Hope this is helpful. I wish you all the best!

What's with the pork? Can you please explain why it's not good to eat it? I have heard this before but don't know what the reason behind it is. Also, I had thought that it was a jewish/ semetic practice to not eat pork. I'm Very curious to find out.

hello,

Pigs (but also rats, ants, monkeys) are said by Masters to be involuting animals, meaning ex humans who failed to free themselfes of egos sufficiently after many lifetimes, so on the way back to the origin.
More about it, download the E-book of VM Samael; Hell Devil Karma.
I found it an interesting book.

When eating this, spiritual energy drops, wet dream (called a fall).

It is ok to eat evoluting animals like cow, chicken or fish.

Hi unfound,

This topic is covered in detail in the Gnostic Wisdom course, and the book by Master Samael on Hell, the Devil, and Karma explains this, too.

My intellectual understanding (I haven?t verified this personally) is that our lives as humans are a small (yet incredibly important part) of the Wheel of Life. In the Wheel of Life, there is an evolving phase and a devolving phase (or a phase of involution). In the evolving phase, an essence (a soul) gains experience gradually by living as simple minerals, plants and animals. Eventually an essence takes the human form and has the chance to get off the Wheel of Life, become a Master, and fully Awaken.

In our lives as humans, our egos (those states like anger), without the spiritual work, get stronger and stronger and if there were no end to this, these horrible egos would grow forever; in order to prevent this, there is a part of the Wheel of Life where the egos have to be destroyed and this is done in the devolving phase. One of the animals taken on in this part of the Wheel is a pig and consequently the energies of pigs are very dirty and can make our egos come out stronger.

Even without the above information, if we are careful to observe our egos, it?s possible to see definitive, negative changes in ourselves when we eat meat from animals in this phase. I?ve found, from personal experience, pork to be very detrimental.

I hope this helps.

All the best!

I had no idea that eating pork lowers your spirit energy! I had a piece of bacon for breakfast! I'm glad i learned about this, no more for me...

Yes, it's on this site. You can find it by clicking on "Last Works of Samael Aun Weor" under the "E-Books - Downloads" heading. The book is called, ?Yes, there is a Hell; Yes, there is a Devil; Yes, there is karma?.

Alternatively, here is the link directly to it: http://www.gnosticweb.com/documents/EN_Hell_Devil_And_Karma.pdf

Warm regards,
