Anybody know anything about this book? I read several places, that it should be one of Samaels last books, written in 1977. The prologue to the book is supposedly written by the masters of the temple of the white brotherhood, and they mention four of the five books, Samael recommended, along with Pistis Sophia Unveiled and the Perfect Matrimony.I've read a little from the book, and it seems to be as powerful as his other works, but I'm in doubt, since Gnosticweb hasn't mentioned it, or has it for download on the website.Any info will be greatly appreciated!Christian

I've read that book some time ago and used it as a source of strength, because I found it very inspiring at the time. I remember it explained much about the human psyche. It had some good teachings on defeatism, too.

The book isn't available because Samael recommended five books that contain all information necessary to awaken. However, if you wish to read that book, you're free to do so.

As always, take everything with a grain of salt and investigate things written, then you won't go wrong, whether the book has mistakes or not.

Hello Christian,

I have also read the book and I agree with you and Matija that Master Samael has a powerful way of teaching in it. If I am not mistaken, it is in The Revolution of the Dialectic he teaches the steps to Meditation on an Ego, which are practiced exactly that way at the more advanced courses here.

There are numerous translations of this as well as other Samael's works, and some of them probably have mistakes due to the translation, too. It is my impression that the books available so far on Gnosticweb are either translated or verified by a competent interpreter in order to keep the Master's teaching accurate. As you can imagine, it is a huge task and responsibility.

Regards,
Andrea

If you click on the "Last Works of Samael Aun Weor" link on the left side of the screen, it will explain why this book is not available on this site.

I read this book about a year ago, and found it amazing!

it was very practical, and was a thorough examination of the human psyche and self-observation. i have not yet read why it is not recommended by Gnosticweb, so i cannot comment, but it has been very helpful for me in my practice.

this book is much more practical than some other works by Samael, it provides many exercises for self-observation and meditation. i find many of the exercises in Samael's other books are based on chanting mantras, while much of his work (including some of the 5 recommended here) seems to be very theoretical. my feeling is that too much theoretical info is very damaging, it can make us create preconceived notions that then effect our experiences... for example, how much of our experience in the astral plane is atually projections of the mind? this is a very daunting, and even haunting, question to ask.

Revolution of the Dialectic contains quite a bit of theory as well, but i found it less "cosmological" than his other work.... this book deals very effectively with providing tools to help us understand who/what we are. it may be good, though, to see why Gnosticweb does not recommend it.
