Hello Rochnefogne D'Orguille,

If you are in courses, it is better to post your questions there, they are answered by assigned teachers there. Also it helps other students taking that course, not all come to these forums.

This 'ego' concept may take some time to get familiar or comfortable with, and it takes study of self combined with study of dreams, to actually understand them. Egos are different parts of our "Self", that have a separate existence in astral. And they control and take energy from our different centres in day to day life. They have divided our "Will" and "into several parts, each part wanting to run into a different direction. So, we have no individual will, but many wills of many egos.

Consider our mind as vehicle, then these "egos" or different "selves" want to take the vehicle in different directions. One self or ego wants to read at one time, other wants to watch a TV, another wants to go out. When one self has taken control, eg it has driven the mind to read a book, the other will keep distracting it, with thoughts of the programme that it wants to see on the TV. The result is mind being scattered and unfocused.

Another example , we don't want to say angry words to hurt people we love , but when ego of anger has taken control in some situation, we compulsively do so, even if in the back of mind, we don't want to, and we may regret later. This shows that each ego is capable to have its way, and control us, overriding our consciousness, depending upon the circumstances and its hold upon us. Some people are more under the control of an ego, eg. a murderer could be the one, who has given himself/herself completely into the ego. Such person has lost the basic consciousness at that moment to the ego.

If you apply the techniques given the search within course, you will be better able to understand how consciousness gets trapped in these egos. It is something that we can investigate and learn from our own experience.

It's hard for me to state what's specifically Beelzebuub's teaching compared to Samael's as part of the study we work with is material from Beelzebuub and Samael aun weor, complementing each other. Most of the work is the practice of the techniques given to us by these people rather than the intellectual study which is offcourse necessary at times.

>>>>>According to Beelzebuub is each ego a self; as in a personality capable of expressiong hate, gluttony, niggardness, greed, jealousy, pride, compassion, love, selflessness, etc? Each being a distinct "person" in and of themselves?

Essentially how you mention in the next paragraph is closer to it. When in a state of awareness we can notice that a self appears in one of our centers and breaks the equilibrium found in awareness/conciousness. Each ego is a specific type, as Samael mentions we could not label each ego even if we had a thousand tongues and a steel pallete (not a direct quote). This is the same way Belzebuub teaches it in my experience. While each ego is different, certain egos are linked together sustaining each other, all of which can be grouped as say lust or anger.

>>>>>Or does he state that each ego is a specific emotion? That hate is the manifestation a specific type of entity, gluttony is the manifestation a specific type of entity, compassion is the manifestation a specific type of entity, pain is the manifestation a specific type of entity, etc. like the succubus concept in relation to lust?

Basically. I'd have to refresh myself on the succubus part though to comment on that.

>>>>>>One other thing. Does Beelzebuub teach that the consciousness is quantifiable or is the concept of consciousness entraped in ego an allegory?

The teaching is as mentioned that a small amount of concioussness is trapped in the ego, and with the elimination of the specific ego it reincorporates with the rest of our free conciousness bringing with it the knowledge of that ego.

That is so both the teachers and students have more time to investigate personally (instead of students immediately asking questions before searching much as is sometimes the case).
