The New Centre - Round 2
Over the weekend, from morning to night, we have been working to prepare the place for the first coat of paint (primer - a thick white layer of paint you could say - so that the old colours won't shine through when we get around to painting the actual colours we want) and then have begun the priming. Below are the visuals.

Adam and I cleaning the men's washroom - note that it was a complete coincidence that we showed up in the same clothes :-)

Stas removing the former store's signs outside

Silvia taping up all the outlets and light switches

Adam cleaning the drywall off of Stas. Jenny and Silvia taking a break.

Silvia arrives on Sunday with the much-needed fan to air out the place

Ruben and Adam painting all the details

Dara starts to work on the truss in the front.

That's me painting in the corner

Ruben and Mike working around the mirrors

Adam, Mike, and I working on a tricky door. Ruben still painting around the mirrors.

One side of the front room fully primed, including the ceiling. That's Olga on the left doing the final touch ups for the night.

View from the front as of Sunday. The left side has been primed and is ready for painting now...

Ruben and I after a long day's work.

I think I just realised something I was wondering about, are the windows with the green and white squares actually just mirrors stuck on the wall and not windows through to other rooms?
Yes, they are just taped up
Yes, they are just taped up mirrors...They were left over by the previous tenants, so we decided to make use of them...
Behind the mirrors is a small staff washroom and a storage room. The other practice rooms are actually down the hallway through the main lecture space (the sign that says 'exit' is actually a hallway leading to several practice rooms before the actual fire exit). There are no pictures of those rooms yet because we haven't started renovating them... Hopefully we'll get to them soon!
