Transformation - wk3

Week 3 was a busy week. The design had been worked out by the girls.

Above: Larraine concentrating on the brooming, preparing for the second coat of painting on the walls.

Most of the paints we were able to use from left over jobs that different people had lying around. So it has cost almost nothing so far to make these big changes.

During the week Rich came along and painted the first coat on the walls and now it is beginning to feel like a .......

Mark, concentrating on mixing the paints for the top coat.

John focussed on painting the table, coffee table and fridge.

Pati, using a wire brush to scrape off the flaking paint from the security door to the main practice room, so it can be repainted.

Priscilla, using a wire brush to scrape off the flaking paint to the security door leading into the cafe area and, if you

Mark and Larraine start the practice of concentration on the top coat.

Mark concentrated intensely on the fine brush strokes. No splashes or spills allowed....

The second coat completed. Wow, this looks like a nice place....

Second coat completed, the other walls done. Just need some items moved into the spa/store room.

John working into the evening to finish tasks before the end of the weekend, and no we didn't get
sponsorship for the coca cola advert, although a few donations would be handy.

Tony finishing up after rearranging the items to be stored in the spa room.
At the back is me, slogging over a hot computer as usual.
Well someone has to be a computer geek otherwise you wouldn't be able to see all these great photos :-)

Laraine's picture

This was my first attempt at painting - and I think I got more paint in my hair and my clothes than on the wall!
I felt like Karate Kid - Paint the Fence - "up, down" :-))

Our sons came along as well to help with the renovations- (hence the scooters in the background of one of the pics) - and they enjoyed painting the walls.....and cleaning out the garage as well.
