Hi everyone. I'm new to APing, but I work shifts which often times I have to work all night and sleep during the day. I find that meditative cds work well for meditating and AP work because I'm less distracted by the noises of the day while sleeping. But is that the right path to take or should I just put earplugs in? I don't want to find myself depending on the cds.

Hello regulator,

Wellcome to the site, the courses given here suggest another approach, which demands our own efforts if we want to AP. I find it better then being dependant on some cd that brainwaves you like a cold meal in a microwave. So if you don't want to depend on any external influence to be able to AP, try the techniques which are working only if you put your own efforts, a srtong concentration is what need's to be built to AP at will. But you don't need to put any earplugs in, simply decide what technique is right for you and go with it. Try the course offered here and see for your self the way that those techniques work.

Have a pleasant investigation!

Hello Regulator,

The best way is just experiment and use what ever the best way is for you as long as it works. For pure relaxation I sometimes use cd's also for to help me relax but not for AP. For AP I need a very peaceful quiet place. I think for AP you are better doing by yourself rather than rely on an external form.

Peace Be With You

Hi Regulator,

I have to agree with the guys above. I have used cds in the past for stuff like this, but if you still haven't projected by the time the cd finishes, what then? :)

Have you signed up for the OBEs and Dreams course here? I think you'd find it really helpful, and with the concentration practices given you can learn to concentrate through even loud annoying noises (like snoring in close proximity), as well as strengthening your chances of astral projection a lot.

For now though, maybe earplugs? I've tried using them before and I found it made my heart beat a lot stronger and easier to concentrate on, so if you wanted too, you could focus on that to try and project.

All the best!
David

thank you all for the replies. I have been trying to AP without the use of the cds although I have taken the advice given and used them for concentration/meditation purposes only. I am noticing that I'm using them less and less though. I look forward to a successful AP in the near future! **smile**

Good luck with your astral practices Regulator!

May you be successful very soon, and if you won't...**smile**...

...may you be successful just a bit later!
