I found that using the relaxation methods every night I would have long periods of different dreams in a row, and remember most of them, but especially the most recent one prior to waking up.

I tried to project while in full relaxation just by visualising myself floating.
My visualisation sucked so I tried simply wishing for it to work, and it actually worked (kind of).

I started to feel as strong vibrations etc and I could see a thick field of grayish yellow (in my head).

I kept getting distracted by the vibrations and kept coming back to being awake (and almost paralyzed from deep relaxation!)

Any tips?

Well done on your progress Andy, you do sound like you are almost there! Relaxation is a major part of it and it sounds like you have that nailed!

A tip for you would be to focus your mind on something and concentrate on that – I find concentrating on my heart beat effective. Try not to be distracted by the sensations, rather maintain your concentration solely on your heart beat. I have found this to be an effective method to project.

Also, try not to get too excited as strong emotion such as excitement or fear will take you strait back to your body, try to remain calm throughout the process.

Good luck!

Strength to everyone!

Thanks for the tips!
I'll try them.

Andy

EDIT:

I have realised I was dreaming several times, but I always wake up. I try to keep on dreaming but it doesn't work since I know i'm awake.

Waking up like this I am usually still fully relaxed and still have my eyes closed, maybe I could try projecting then?

Andy, can you remember why you keep waking up when you realize you are dreaming? This happens to me a lot if I get too excited. Any kind of strong emotion can send us back to the physical. It helps to just try to remain calm when you wake up in a dream. To my surprise, after learning this, it actually comes to mind often when I wake in a dream.

hmm
actually...
sometimes i'm still dreaming, but slowly wake up with my eyes closed, so sometimes I know I'm dreaming and try to keep dreaming, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but when I try to take control It usually ends and I just wake up...

Yeah, I remember reading in the Astral Travel and Dreams book how projecting is such a delicate practice and we have to get it just right. I think that's what may be going on here...You've got to catch it at just the right time and in a very calm state. Some people find it easier to get the timing right when they have returned to the body, having just barely woken up, perhaps because the connection between the physical and astral bodies is still very loose.

As they say, practice makes perfect. Good luck with getting out next time.

Thanks! I'm about to go to bed now so I'll try projecting.
Bye!

My visualisation attempts are also poor, I won't give up on them completely, but I will try your technique of just wishing it to happen and will see what happens if anything. Cheers for the tip.

I found that if I make myself think something is true and I want it to be, my subconscious will notice that it is not and will proceed to fix that.

Though I also found that this doesn't work when you have to get up really early for something and try to use it that way. My result doing that: A dream about getting up and brushing my teeth. Haha :)
